Smashpodz doesn’t track live location like GPS. Instead, it silently logs nearby phones, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth signals—creating a digital footprint of where your tagged item or person has been. This log is private, encrypted, and only accessible by law enforcement if something goes wrong. No live tracking, no parental overreach, no privacy invasion.
No. Smashpodz is designed for safety, not surveillance. You can’t monitor someone’s real-time location, and even you can’t access the signal logs. Only law enforcement can, and only if the person or item is marked missing. We believe in privacy-first technology that protects people—not watches them.
When you mark a person or item as missing in the app, Smashpodz immediately escalates. The system activates a backup battery inside the tag, flags it in our secure servers, and automatically calls 911 from your phone if a child is involved. At the same time, the signal history is shared with law enforcement—either through our secure portal (if they’ve opted in) or via their public tip line. Police receive a full digital trail showing every Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and device ID the missing person came near. Even if phones are off or thrown away, Smashpodz logs the ones that passed by. This is how we give families and first responders a real lead—when minutes matter most.
Anything that matters. We offer Smashpodz as hair clips, notebook tags, backpack clips, glass stickers for homes and vehicles, and hidden UV serial tags for luxury goods, electronics, and even firearms. If it can be stolen, trafficked, lost, or faked — it can be protected.
